Here we go! Another day, another Del Mar gamble… today doesn’t look like it will be on the cheap side at all. The pick 6 has an out of this world cost, most people would be smart to focus on the pick 3 instead… even the P4. Both of which could be incredibly profitable.

Our results yesterday were fairly mediocre. Took down a few exactas and a boring trifecta in the 7th. Hoping to really capitalize on today! Watch those late scratches as always…

Race #5: 2-1-8-9 and we really can’t ignore #4 Mental Giant. I think we’re going to throw him in the mix as insurance.

Race #6: 1-4-2-3

Race #7: 9-10-7-5-2 like we said, no bargains here today.

Race #8: 6-4-2-10 / 6-4-2-10-8 / 6-4-2-10-8-5-9-7

It’s the start of a brand new month and we’re ready to make big things happen in the next 30 days! Summer is on it’s way out the door but that doesn’t mean we’re going to cool down anytime soon. Updates were somewhat slower than usual this past week but we’ve been quite busy which has hindered our ability to update as often as we’d like. Nonetheless, we’re ready to tackle some Del Mar horse racing like never before! Let’s start this month off with a gambling BANG. Best of luck to our fellow horse players!

One last note, please be aware of late scratches… they could destroy our bets. And as always, lets wait till the final minutes to see if our odds delegate a worthy bet!

Race #3: 7-3-2-5

Race #4: 4-1-2-6-7

Race #5: 7-11-4-10 and we’ll make the bet a bit heavier by adding on the #8 Lunar Lovegirl – we like the jockey in this scenario

Race #6: 7-9-8-3 / 7-9-8-3-1 / 7-9-8-3-1-5 and the wildcard here is the #6 Hiatus, possible late scratch? If so, substitute the #10 Preferred Behaviour. And yes, you read correctly, we are keying the #7 Free Beer at 20-1 morning line. Do we think he’s going to blow the field away and go wire to wire? Certainly not, but we do like his chances here.

Race #7: 1-2-4-3 – we think the #1 Hakuchi might be a solo choice here but we’re taking the insurance by boxing the bet. Your call.

Race #8: We’re not 100% positive on this one yet but looking at a 12-1-3-14 / 12-1-3-14-11 / 12-1-3-14-11-10 and/or WPS bets on #7 Royally Forbidden and #2 My Sweet Love.

We ended up pulling another decent day from Del Mar yesterday. Had a couple of nice $XXX trifectas and decently priced exactas in there.

We are a little unsure about today’s card. We flipped through our Daily Racing Form and didn’t find anything that got us excited at any of the tracks running today. It might be a good day to sit back and “play for fun” aka take little shots and WPS bets. Despite all the gloominess that is today’s card, we decided to hit Del Mar once again, nothing too fancy though. Enjoy.

Race #2: 6-2-1-7

Race #3: 6-2-5 are our main choices. We’ll also tack on the #1 and #7 as a precaution.

Race #4: 8-9-1-2-5 / 8-9-1-2-5 / 8-9-1-2-5-4 – wild card is the #6 El Adelantado

Race #5 6-9-1-8 / 6-9-1-8-2-3 / 6-9-8-1-8-2-3

Race #6: 9-7-3-1

Race #7: A tough race and we’re still trying to figure this one out. We may take a few WPS bets out on the #5, #12 and #14 if he starts. Otherwise we’re looking at a 3-9-6-4-7 scenario. Still up in the air…

For some odd reason we keep coming back to DelMar! We simply cannot get enough surf and turf. Yesterday we took down a nice $300 trifecta in the 3rd race at DelMar. We also took a nice, $100 trifecta in the 7th and we just barely missed a $1k trifecta in the 8th. The #5 (who we used in the third leg) took 2nd paying $30.20. The exacta was a nice $121, so we can’t complain too much! Let’s see if we can replicate that success today! Best of luck to all of you pony handicappers.

Race #3: WPS #6 A Toe By Three – plus we’re throwing on the #2, #5 and #4. 2-5-4-6 exacta and trifectas.

Race #4: Anybody’s race.. seriously! This is the race that will kill pick six tickets. Would it be crazy to want to press the ALL button? Seriously, we have it down to the 4-5-7-8-3-2-1 in that order. How we’ll play it, not sure yet… but if the value is there, we are NOT going cheap on this one! Skip all of the other races and spend your money here if you’d like to consider doing the same.

Race #5: 8-7-4-3-5 / 8-7-4-3-5 / 8-7-4-3-5-1 and we’re keeping an eye on the #2 Da Marshall.

Race #6: WPS #3 Points off the Bench – and #5 Helimark. We’re taking those two and adding on the #2 and #4 for all exotics.

Race #7: WPS #9 Scorpion Time & #8 Isle of Prado. We’ll also tack on the #5 and #2 for exotics.

Race #8: All hall of fame jockies, all bigshot trainers, so what do we do? When dealing with a bunch of baby horses, anything could happen… this should be a pretty fun race. This is another race that cannot be played cheaply. The jackpot might be well worth the investment, especially if you’re going after the pick six like we are! 12-4-8-1-9 / 12-4-8-1-9 / 12-4-8-1-9-6 / 12-4-8-1-9-6-7-10-11 boo yah! Should be a whopper… if we lose, we lose. If not, should be a good payoff. We’ll wait for the tote board (as always). Sound good?

Today we are focusing on DelMar where we broke our selections down to relatively cheap bets (compared to what we typically post) so hopefully that eases your pockets! Race #5: 5-9-1-3 / 5-9-1-3-6 / 5-9-1-3-6-8 – Our horse most likely to upset is the #4 Mossad. A great horse that has been off nearly a year, they have him in as a “no claim” which is a great sign of his readiness. Tough consideration on that alone and it makes it rather hard to figure out how to (if at all) to use this horse. We’ll have to decide last minute.

Race #6: 1-3-5-6

Race #7: 10-7-8-9-2

Race #8: 1-4-7-9

Race #9: Long shots bet of the day – #1 Reggiano – 14 pounds, shades on, the rail and young Flores Flores on board on a classy late pacer horse. We’ll also take a second WPS bet out on the #8 Valentine Joe.

Race #5: This has a potential for upset, the distance could be a huge factor here. We’ll box the 3-4-9-1

Race #6: Super fillies in a super race. #2 Eileen’s Dream looks great. We’re looking at a 10-7-1-2-11 / 10-7-1-2-11-12 / 10-7-1-2-11-12 and a WPS on the #6 Corinthian…
