Free horse racing picks and predictions for Presque Isle Downs Thursday – July 28, 2011

It has been exactly one month since we’ve posted any kind of horse racing picks, tips and selections for Presque Isle Downs and yet a lot of readers seem to enjoy playing at this track. Today we’re simply taking a WPS betting approach to the track as things look somewhat chalky. We’ll try and pick the not-so obvious value horses. As of this update, we’re about two hours away from post time, so enjoy!

Race #1: #8 Gentle One – Has finished in the money the last three times out and is now starting to show speed in the last outing as well. At 10-1, it’s worth a shot.

Race #2: WPS on #2 Storm Leader – Who knows if this horse can even go this distance but those recent works and new trainer connections has us intrigued enough to play around!

Race #3: #5 Storming Wolf

Race #4: 7-4-2-1

Race #5: If you can get any sort of price on em… #3 Piano Star, although we really doubt it.

Race #6: #2 Harlan Street

This is the first time we’ve posted any horse racing picks for Presque Isle Downs, it’s a track that has caught our attention in the past but we’ve never hammered it like we typically do with places like Delaware and Belmont. Regardless, today’s card looks ripe and we’re ready to pick some winners. If today goes well, you can expect to see more Presque Isle Downs picks in the very near future!

Race #1: WPS on #9 Rhythm of the Nite – morning line of 6-1 and nothing that stands out but coming off the layoff will hopefully bring this horse back up to speed.

Race #2: WPS on #2 R. Clever Cat

Race #3: WPS on #9 Go Go Birdie

Race #6: WPS on #6 Draw a Blank – those recent work speeds speak for themselves. A morning line of 3-1. We may have to double down on this bet and hope we pull off the victory for a bigger payout.
