Race #7: 4-3-2-6 also consider alternating the #7 Skipshot into this bet if the odds warrant it. Most are going to be solo’ing Game on Dude, and they may be right…

Race #8: This one is honestly insane, we feel like it’s almost anybody’s race. 6-8-12-11-10? We’re really not sure yet… and we probably won’t be. The price of the ticket wouldn’t be worth it in the end.

If he’s hot on the pace, he could take it… if not, forget about it and think about using the #6 The Bien’s Gift who is an infant that has shown little in his works but has great DNA and Talamo/Gallegher connections, which might tilt things in his favor. Think about it!

Race #9: This race is so wide open. We have a bet has come to look like this: 4-7-2-8-3 / 4-7-2-8-3 / 4-7-2-8-3 – but honestly we would also want to do a WPS on #10 Father Pabst and #9 Ira The Esquire and #1 Stonewall Jackson so as you can see there’s really no real way to play this cheaply. We may end up skipping it all.

We had an absolutely amazing day yesterday at the opening day of Santa Anita Park. We pulled down a $644+ trifecta and $333.63 ten-cent superfecta in the 4th race which meant we were playing with the houses money the rest of the day… but we also took down a $38+ winner in the 9th race and a sweet lil’ $100+ trifecta in the 8th.

We have our fingers crossed and hoping to do the same thing today. Don’t get mad though if we don’t! We learned a lot about the track after opening day, but we’re still processing a lot of information, so stick with us!

Race #6: We like the #7 and the #1 but we’ll also slip in the #3 Ask The Monn as we think there is a possibility he could steal this if he hangs on.

Race #7: 8-7-3 and more than likely we’ll throw in the #6 Miss Match as well to complete this box.

Race #8: 9-5-6

Race #9: 2-5-1-3-6 / 2-5-1-3-6-4 / 2-5-1-3-6-4 and a WPS bet on the #9 Patriotic Lion as we think this is the horse most likely to upset our exotics. We know this is an expensive play, so if the tote board does not warrant such a bet, let’s fo’get about it

Race #10: It looks like the #3 Dubawi Height is the choice here on paper but we’ll throw the 9-4-2 into the mix as well.

Race #11: 11-8-10-14 / 11-8-10-14-6 / 11-8-10-14-6-2 – this is what we’re looking at so far for the trifecta/ten-cent super. However, we also think the #5 More Than Happy will come at a big price and is a very serious top, late pace contender, with ten pounds in his pocket and Sonny Boy Flores up as well. Then we have the #9 Right Smart Secret and this horse had a decent last race and some nice looking drills. She’ll be stalking the field and shooting for it in the stretch. If you want to stay away from the exotics, consider a WPS bet on the #5 and #9 in that case.

It’s that time of the year! Opening day for Santa Anita Park. Looks like a great first card although we aren’t too familiar with the track bias and things of that nature. We should know quite a bit after today, otherwise we’re flying by the seat of our pants on these. Watch out for even more late scratches as well. We’ve got just about an hour till post time at Santa Anita and there isn’t a whole lot to like on the card today. Scratch that- there isn’t a whole lot to like on any of the tracks running today! You may be better off taking a rain check, but in case you do feel like playing, we’ve got some free picks in the following races…

We are adding in some late picks for Santa Anita today. With just an hour before the 1st race, we hope it gives you enough time to go over your own selections to see if you agree with ours. Not a whole lot of value as far as we can see thus far, so hold off on all of these until you see if the tote boards give you the go ahead!
