Here’s the deal with our picks at Saratoga today. These are for the turf only and all MTO’s must be scratched. Otherwise, forget about it! Some pricey selections but remember to only get these on if the value is there on the tote board.

Saratoga has been absolutely crazy as of late and we’ve been trying to stay away from it in all honesty. However, we have a total crapshoot in Race 8 today that we’re going to try and take a stab at… wanna gamble, come on board with us. Want to play it smart? Stick to our free Del Mar picks instead.

Race #8: 2-3-1-10 / 2-3-1-10-4 / 2-3-1-10-4-6 and the two horses we’re keeping an eye on is the #5 Count Catamount (could outlast the speedsters just based on class and conditioning alone) and #2 System Restore (a big number carrying Cohen and can definitely cruise) – may want to place WPS bets on these two as savers.

If you really want to play things on the safe site, do a WPS on #1 Retire To What – has a big speed advantage and loves this track. We could easily see him taking the lead early and never looking back.

Hey folks, it seems the majority of our search engine traffic is coming from people looking for free Saratoga horses to bet so on this update we wanted to do something a little special. We’re going to give out a horse to bet at Saratoga in each and every race for Monday’s card. These are WPS bets, PLUS we’re throwing in 3 horse exacta box bets.

So, with that said, just remember these are exacta box bets only! We’re playing pretty conservatively despite the fact that both Saratoga and Del Mar have been jam packed with big priced horses running 1st, 2nd or 3rd in almost every race. Take that into consideration and enjoy! Thanks for your support.

Race #1: Exacta box 6-8-2 – WPS on #6 Golden Causeway – moving to turf and won back to back races coming from off the pace. A move up in class could prove challenging but looks decent enough for a repeat.

Race #2: Exacta box 5-2-1 – WPS on #1A The Prize Fighter – made his first race at Belmont and finished 2nd which gives him an advantage of the rest of the first time starters.

Race #3: Exacta box 6-5-1 – WPS on #6 Volition – Dropping in class and those last two races can be written off for a variety of reasons. Could come at a price too.

Race #4: Exacta box 6-1-3 – WPS on #6 Anonymous Donor – A Pletcher horse and we all know how Pletcher does with first time starters. We’ll give him a shot.

Race #5: Exacta box 1-4-2 – WPS on #1 Maria’s Own – We think this is the speed horse in this race if she can break to the front right out of the gate.

Race #6: Exacta box 3-6-7 – WPS on #3 Economic Swoon – Has enough speed to pull this off.

Race #7: Exacta box 13-14-12

Race #8: Exacta box 4-8-13 – WPS on #4 Lights Out Lisa – Didn’t have much of a shot breaking out of the 10th gate in her last race. With a new rider on board and a better post position, we’re interested to see what happens this time around.

Race #9: Exacta box 3-9-6

Race #10: Exacta box 14-15-4

Race 8: Going to take a chance with a WPS bet on #1 Trix in the City. If you want to take a gamble on the exotics we’re looking at a 3-6-5-8-9 / 3-6-5-8-9 / 3-6-5-8-9-10

Race #9: 3-6-2-8

Race #10: 1-5-9-2 / 1-5-9-2-7 / 1-5-9-2-7-11 and the horse most likely to upset is the #10 Apart, so either bet it straight up or include it.

Race #11: 8-9-11-5 / 8-9-11-5-6 / 8-9-11-5-6-12 and the horse most likely to upset is the #3 Seek To Destroy.

Race #9: 1-7-4-10 / 1-7-4-10-8 / 1-7-4-10-8-11 and the horse most likely to upset is the #9 Sythesizer

It seems that we’ve been receiving more and more requests for horses to bet on at Saratoga and we’re going to try and fulfill that quota as much as possible. Stay tuned for future updates on our selections for Saratoga Race Course!

These bets are assuming that all MTO’s will remain scratched… if not, forget about it!

Race #5: 2-7-1-8-10 and a WPS on #1 The Entry- only one will end up going out but we like the bet. A pretty tough race and especially since it’s at Saratoga. Any of these have a chance, we would not be surprised to see the tote board light up here.

Race #6: 2-6-3-1 and we’re also using the #8 Paper Shredder.

Race #7: 1-2-6-7 and we’re throwing on the #8 Our Dark Knight as well. Your call if you want to spend the extra money.

Race #8: 8-3-6-5 / 8-3-6-5-2 / 8-3-6-5-2-1 and the horse most likely to upset is the #7 Humadea

Race #9: 7-3-9-1 / 7-3-9-1-4 / 7-3-9-1-4-8 and the horse most likely to upset our exotics is the #5 or #11 if he makes the cut.

Race #10: 4-3-5-8-9 / 4-3-5-8-9 / 4-3-5-8-9-1 If you’re smart you’d use the #7 as well but we’re trying to get this ticket down in price somewhat. Maybe consider a WPS.

Race #8: 5-6-7-3-10 / 5-6-7-3-10 / 5-6-7-3-10-8 and you can either include the #9 My Redbird if you have the money or just do a WPS on him as sort of a saver bet.

Race #9: 1-5-6-4 if you have to play it on the cheap side, otherwise we’re also including #3 Dyna Waltz on this as well.

Race #10: 7-2-3-6

Race #11: 9-4-5-7-15 We may also use the #6 Mr. Hadif but will probably hold off to make it cheap (yikes). Should be an interesting race to say the least after all of these scratches have taken place.

#2 Free Brave- Has been running well with much better and loves to sprint on the turf. He is in good hands and looks like another stick out winner.

It’s been one heck of a busy day for us… picking winners (hopefully) takes up some time and we’ve hit four tracks now! We’re aiming at Race #7 at Saratoga… it’s a bit of a costly play so wait till the last minute to see what kind of odds we’ll be receiving here…

Race #7: 6-4-9-7 / 6-4-9-7-8 / 6-4-9-7-8-10 and the horse most likely to upset is the #3 Bug Juice – might be worthy enough to include in this mix, we’ll wait to see!
