Free horse racing picks and predictions for Thistledown – Monday – May 2, 2011

Look, not a great card at Thistle today, but we love the track anyhow… so we’re going to show some love and analyze a couple of today’s races.

Race #1: By all means skip this race and save yourself the headache but if you’re feeling a little lucky and you have some gamble in ya, take a shot on the @1 Get N Gypy With It and #1A Padme – absolutely nothing that stands out about them, but if we can get them for the morning line price of 8-1, we’ll consider it worth a small WPS bet. It’s a field of nobody’s, and anyone can win it.

Race #4: WPS on #1 Marra Marra – Shipping in from a race at Mountaineer in April, MM ran a solid race but fell short, finishing in 4th place that night. Regardless, the new trainer connections and sharp recent Beyer make us think this is a great bet if we get it at 6-1 or greater. Also, keep your eye on #5 Briteluck coming out of Tampa most recently. This horse has us scratching our heads but one thing is for sure, if Britluck comes prepared, watch out. The #7 Doro’s Don Juan has a trainer who has been absolutely on fire so far this year, we expect them to be in the money as well. Consider those if you want to focus on exotics.
